Here is a great video on wobblers disease which has affected many Dobermans such as our current foster boy, Sampson, who we can report is happily recovering from recent surgery for wobblers!

Sampson video debut 2 weeks post surgery! |
Instability of the vertebrae of the neck causes compression of the spinal cord, causing an unsteady gait. Eventually this compression can cause them to become permanently paralyzed. Surgery is expensive. Current thought is this is a genetic disease, may be passed on from parents to the puppies.
