Luke

Luke

Luke has a sad story to tell. He was first dumped in a local town by a semi-truck driver that traveled from state to state with Luke, but decided he no longer wanted Luke as Luke started chewing on his interior of his truck (this is what happens when dobermans do not get the proper exercise-they get bored and become destructive).  A lady took him in only to decide shortly thereafter that she was going to shoot him as she was getting evicted from her home. Luke is a great dog with a very good temperament, he does have a hunters nose and loves to sniff the ground when on a walk and would love to have a fenced in yard. He gets along well with other dogs and is not a barker when new people come along. Luke has developed some behaviors typical of a caged animal that we are hoping with time he will refocus his energy and learn what being a dog is really about. He has some anxiety about being in a vehicle and the movement of lights, most likely due to his unhealthy living arrangements in a vehicle. He is a great dog that will take some loving patience to help him get over his fears and anxiety. He would benefit in formal obedience classes with his new family. Luke is up to date on all vaccines, micro-chipped, neutered and heart-worm negative.
