Fritz is a 3 year old black and tan male Doberman. He is well socialized with other big dogs and plays appropriately in both large and small groups. Fritz has completed level 1 obedience training and is house broken and crate trained. Currently, Fritz lives with another dog and cats and does well with both. Sometimes he will chase cats as they run from him but he is gentle and often grooms them when they are still. His manners in the yard and at the door are appropriate for his breed and he will bark when new people are outside. However, he is not an obsessive barker and once introduced to neighbors he will not bark at them again. Fritz enjoys people and is a very affectionate dog and loves attention and cuddling. His favorite toy is a knotted rope or tennis balls and is entertained with tug or fetch.
Like many young dogs, Fritz is very energetic and needs daily exercise of either group play or long walks. He does well on a leash but should be kept close as he tends to get excited with other walkers. This is easily correctable with a few calm words and praise. He has a sensitive digestive system but a diet free of chicken and corn based foods works well with him.
