Sits, Stays, Lays down and shakes hands – she does all these well

No food aggression

Likes everyone she meets, even kids!

Gentle mouth

Does not get up on furniture

Doesn’t lick (well not much) 🙂

Doesn’t bark much only when a stranger comes to the door

Loves treats – not so excited about kibble

LOVES to play

Enjoys exploring outside

Good bathroom habits (likes to do #2 in the wooded area)

Tolerates kids nicely

Doesn’t sleep much during the day
Has had knee surgery in the past

Does alright in a crate however was left for about 4 hours and she chewed up a blanket

Enjoys attention but does not demand it – very easy to care for!

So excited to see you when you get home, does not seem too concerned when you leave

Particular about dog pals-may do better in a home with no other dogs – we went to the dog park with  2 other very passive dogs (both female – one dobie, one lab) she got along better with the dobie but not the lab. She loves to fetch the ball and also likes the water.

Emma is almost the perfect dog.  I would recommend her for any kind of family – kids, no kids, elderly, as long as they love her and treat her with only kindness, just maybe not other dogs.  She is really a delightful dog. MJ
