Lucy’s rescue angels!

In 2013 Lucy was saved from certain death. Lucy was forced to live in a cold garage, piled high with junk and greasy engines, in the frigid, snowy Minnesota winter, with no heat, food or water, and sometimes no human contact for days on end. Sadly, the other dog who lived with Lucy was hit by a car and died. Lucy did what she had to do, being there was no food available to her as she was literally starving to death. We suspect Lucy had also been hit by a car, or injured in some traumatic terrible way, as she had a serious fracture in her femur at some time in her life that appears to have healed on its own. Well, along came her rescue angels, Fran and Howard, who got her away from that home and began helping this sweet, loving girl on her journey to health and healing. Thanks to them, Lucky Lucy was saved and brought to DRM, where she finally found her forever “golden” family, where she is living happily ever after! Lucy is loved beyond words by so many. We are thankful to all the rescue angels of the world, like Fran and Howard, who make a difference for those animals who have nothing or no one to care for them.
