Afternoon Mary and Gabriela!

I just thought I’d send you a quick update on Carmen. She’s doing great in her new home and we’ve been very busy. Lots of walks, trips to the dog park, viewing Alena’s soccer games, doggy day care and spending time at my parents with their dobe Zoe. I brought her into my vet at the Hopkins Pet Hospital and Dr. Spong was very complimentary of her demeanor and body structure. She weighed in at 62 pounds and he thought that was an ideal weight for her. Carmen’s been slowly warming up to Alena since she’s been back from her trip and it’s great to see the bond between them grow on a daily basis. Next on our agenda is dog training which is probably much needed.

Alena and I were at PetSmart one day when there was a MN Doberman Rescue table set up. It was really great to see a photo of Carmen with “Adopted” written across her picture. Also noticed the announcement in your newsletter. We both got a big kick out of that.

I’ve also run into Nicole, Pete(?) and Apollo at the SLP dog park. We had a great time reminiscing about our dobes and the great work you all do.

I also want to thank everyone involved in the whole adoption process. It was an amazing experience and we’re very grateful Carmen is in our lives.

Hope all is well,

David
