I am so happy of my new family put this fence up for ME! They must love me lots! I so love them!

Parties on! Going to start a campfire in my new fenced in back yard!

Things certainly are a lot better here now that the fence is in. Being
able to let her out whenever she wants is really nice. Playing with her
and exercising her is certainly a lot easier now too. She loves playing
fetch and tug in the backyard where I can really throw things and she
can run at full speed after them. We have had no accidents in the house
<knock on wood> since the fence has been in.  (Bella did not like pooping on a leash-you can hardly blame her!) We haven’t had the
neighbor dogs over yet. The trainer gets back from vacation tomorrow and we
are going to schedule another appointment with her. I’m going to ask her
about how we should do that. She recognizes them and last night was the
1st night that they were out on their deck and she looked at them
without barking and went back to doing what she was doing without
throwing a barking fit. I’m sure not being on a leash when seeing them
has something to do with that.

Also, last night another neighbor
came over. He came in the house with me and
there were no problems. He played with her, gave her treats and
everything. Maybe now
that we have the fence she’s starting to settle into her new home.

She
continues to do very well in her kennel. We have decided that she will
be kenneled every day when we are at work, but we will leave her with
free reign whenever we go out on the weekends. That’s what we’ve been
doing and it seems to work out pretty well. She really is trustworthy
and can be left unsupervised in the house for long periods without
getting into things she shouldn’t.

Now that we have the fence I
haven’t been walking her nearly as much. Usually just once in the early
morning before work. We pretty much have the streets all to ourselves at
4:30 in the morning. Now I just let
her out back when I get home. She’s usually
out for 15 minutes or so. That’s usually around 1:30 in the afternoon.
5:30 in the afternoon is play time. We go out and I play with her for
about a half hour or so then. That all seems to work pretty well. Being
able to get her out and run her for even 10 minutes really seems to calm
her down in the house too. Whenever she gets a little too energetic we
can go out back and she can run it off then when she comes back in she’s
usually pretty exhausted and settles down in a hurry.

Both us and her are much happier now that we have that fence!!!
